Tijuana

While at Newport beach Joe realized at Mexico was just an hour and half away! Joe loves Mexico so we hopped in the car and drove down there. Just for future reference most of the street vendors close early so going in the evening well its still fun but there aren't as many people. Thats okay it means you can walk down dark empty alleys (picture 1). The trip was still a success cause we got some sweet matching sunglasses and Joe got to eat some tacos and some other thing that I can't remember the name of.

Another piece of helpful information to anyone that is planning on going to go to Tijuana is that you might want to take your passport. We did not. So when we went to leave we had to go to a special line. Lucky for us it was night time and there wasn't a long line because no one goes there then. So when we got the the man and handed him our licenses he asked us why we didn't have our passports. He then proceeded to tell us that we were ignorant Americans and that is why everyone hates Americans. Then he told us that the people who go through that line are the arm pit of america, the scum, and he wished that those people could be deported from America.
So how do I feel about being the armpit and scum of America? It's actually not to bad.

Don't worry that's not the end of the story. So we went to drive back up to my cousins house when the police pulled us over. Joe was making an illegal turn and didn't have his seat belt on. whoops. So when the cop asked Joe if he knew why he was being pulled over (which could have been for a number of legitimate reasons) Joe was smart enough to say no. The cop then asked a bunch of questions like where we were coming from, what we were doing in Mexico, who owned the car, how long had Joe had the car, blah blah blah. He finally got to the point and told him he pulled him over cause the lights weren't on. So he took Joe's license and took mine as well (why does he need my license because the lights weren't on whatever). Anyways he let us go.
And that is our Mexican adventure!
